St Paul’s Beach Sorrento photos at Easter

Went out shooting some images with some family and out-of-town friends in the 24 and a half minutes of sunshine over the whole of Easter 2012. Took them to St Paul’s beach out the back of Sorrento. It was blowing a gale and the tide was well up. We made it back to the car before rain set back in for the afternoon. Made for some interesting middle of the day light – not a time of day I frequently visit St Paul’s, and certainly not in this sort of weather.

Rye Football Club v Sorrento

Rye’s final game of the home-and-away season was played at Sorrento on a sunny late August Saturday afternoon. That was about as good as it got for Rye, with the Sorra’s running away with a comfortable victory over Rye. Rye’s inaccurate first quarter kicking saw the game put well in Sorrento’s favour at quarter time, with Rye having one more scoring shot at the end of the game but still losing by 44 points.

Final scores Sorrento 20.7-127 def Rye 11-17.83

Rye Football Club v Tyabb

Rye’s winning ways came to an end against Tyabb at the Yabbies’ home ground at Tyabb. Rye was outplayed by a vastly more determined team, was second to every contest and looked generally lethargic.
